What is Dry Eye?

What is Low Level Light Therapy?
Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) uses specially designed Red LED lights to deliver a focused light that targets the mitochondria - which is your cell's personal power plant.
Patients wear a comfortable mask that stimulates the production of ATP - the energy that powers our cells. This therapy supports cellular self-repair and cell rejuvenation without any medication.
LLLT technology has been used in medicine for over 10 years, but has only recently been discovered to aid the treatment of Dry Eye and several other eye conditions.
How does Intense Pulsed Light Work for the treatment of Dry Eyes?
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a light-based technology commonly used in dermatology to treat rosacea and reduce telangiectasia. It is now being used in eye care to treat meibomian gland dysfunction and Dry Eye disease.
During the procedure, light pulses penetrate the skin around the eye and target the root cause of the inflammation. IPL procedures are effective, gentle and safe.
This therapy can also be used to treat styes in the eyelids in place of medication or surgery.
